The qualified electronic signature under the eIDAS Regulation meets the legal requirements for written form and is accepted by most authorities and courts.
For everyday use, such as submission to a bank or tax advisor, digital transmission also offers the advantage of faster and easier forwarding.
Some authorities or certain court proceedings nevertheless still require the additional submission of an original signature in paper form, which should be clarified in advance.
A simple electronic signature, such as a scanned signature, generally does not meet the stricter legal requirements and is more frequently objected to by authorities.
