Frequently asked questions
Can I submit your appraisal report as evidence in court?+
Yes. Our appraisal reports meet all formal requirements for a private expert opinion within the meaning of the ZPO and can be submitted as documentary evidence. Upon the court's request, we are also available as valuer and will explain the methodology verbally.
Can you prepare expedited appraisal reports?+
Yes. For ongoing court proceedings, auction dates or regulatory deadlines, we offer priority processing where possible. Please contact us directly with your deadline — we will promptly assess feasibility and provide you with a binding delivery date.
Are you eligible to bill under the JVEG?+
For valuer appointed by authorities or courts, the JVEG (Judicial Remuneration and Compensation Act) applies. For private engagements by lawyers, notaries or private parties, a freely negotiated fixed price applies. Please let us know at initial contact whether it is a court-ordered or private engagement.
Do you prepare counter-appraisals to existing valuations?+
Yes. We review existing appraisal reports for methodological correctness, completeness and market conformity, and, if required, prepare our own valuation or a substantiated statement on an existing appraisal report (a so-called plausibility review or supplementary appraisal report).
How does the engagement process work for a public authority?+
Municipalities and authorities can engage us directly. After a brief telephone consultation, you will receive a written quote with price, scope of services and timeline, which can be used as the basis for the engagement.
